Robinhood

 Robinhood Jan. 20-24, 2023 This was a "showcase show." So they tried to keep it simple. I only had a few set pieces to paint: banners, a wall, a chest, 3 targets, and two walking sticks. It's a little frustrating when you have to paint over something that you worked so hard on...but that's theater!           It's always a little frustrating when I have to paint over something that I did previously! Out with the old and in with the new!   Chest Stone wall Before an after doing shadows on the stones. Banners with N on them for Nottingham. I used the lid from a plastic container to create the shape that the N is in.    Targets     Even had to do the back of the target!   I created grass for the platforms too.

 Jr Claus Dec. 2-18, 2022 I was told that there wouldn't be too much work with this play, because they had done it before. They said that set was already finished. I found out later that much of it was sold after the last time the play was performed! They said that there was a fireplace, a sleigh and some touch ups to paint. They already has the main background and the blue trees. Shouldn't take long....    The fireplace turned out to be huge and had a front, back and sides that were all different. One side had brick, one stone, one had green paint and there was also blue highlighted snow too!  The sleigh was fairly straight forward and it was great that it could be painted flat. But the designs on the boxes and the candy stripes were a lot of work. Luckily I had some help doing the stamps on the boxes. But the candy striping was a real bear! I don't think that I'll ever be able to look at a candy cane again without thinking about painting the legs of the tables! It wou
